What you need to know about Satan!

How well do you know your adversary the devil? There is a danger in not knowing and not being able to recognize our adversary. The bible clearly teaches us that the devil spends a lot of time trying to bring Christians back to darkness. 1 Peter 5:8 says, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Peter is talking to Christians, those who have decided to follow Christ. Obviously, Satan doesn’t have to spend a lot of time on those who are already serving him but those who have been called out of darkness into light, he works very deliberately to destroy.

Ephesians 2:2, Paul here again speaking to Christians. Which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. John 14:30 Christ says, I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me. 1 John 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. I would like to remind everyone that Satan brought death and destruction, but Christ brought life and eternal salvation. Death is a work of the devil and Christ came to destroy those works. When Christ was resurrected Satan’s work was destroyed, that can only happen through the blood of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:20 says, But now is Christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that slept. V 21 For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. V 22 For as in Adam all die, even in Christ shall all be made alive. V 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. 2 Corinthians 15: 54, So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. V 55 Oh death, where is thy sting? Oh, grave where thy victory?  V 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

V 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. V 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of Lord, for as much as you know your labor is in vain in the Lord.
