Joy To World, The Lord Will Come Again!

The song joy to the world is a very popular song, especially this time of year. Christ came and established his kingdom here on earth, his church. What a glorious occasion that was, what a tremendous sacrifice that was made to bring the New Testament into effect. But just think how great his second coming will be, if you have made preparation for that event.

Philippians 2:10-11 says, That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; VS 11 And that every tongue should confess that Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. You see right now men and women can shake their fist in God’s face, but folks there is coming a day when all of humanity will know that he is Lord of Lords and King and Kings.

When that time comes all wrongs will be made right, sorrows and troubles will be no more, disease and sickness will be no more, there will be no more separations. The days of deceit and manipulation will be behind us. We will no longer be exposed to the evil of this world, such as all the snares of the devil, sexual immortality, hatred, violence, children being sexually, mentally, emotionally abused, the slaughter of innocent babies. What about lying, cheating, stealing, all the things’ Christians should hate will be no more.

People of the world seek joy from the world.  Think of how all marketing schemes project the joy these products will bring you, whether it be a new car, a fancy home, a boat on the lake, dining in a nice restaurant. These things are fine, and they make our life here easier but the joy they bring is temporal, it only lasts for a season. The eternal joy that comes from knowing that one is right with God surpasses any thing that we might possess in this life. We go to great lengths to have joy for ourselves and our families as it pertains to wealth and possessions, when will that end? It will end with the grave if one is not ready for the second coming of Christ. Are you ready? Do you have the joy of knowing you will be going on to better things when this life is over or upon the Lord’s return?  John 15:11 tells us, These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
