What does the bible say about judgment?

We live in a society that views judgment in a negative way, for example we often hear phrases like, who are you to judge me? Sometimes we hear others say, don’t judge me, I can do anything I want. It’s true the bible tells us that we are not supposed to judge people and Paul even acknowledged in 1 Corinthians 4:1, “Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or any of man’s judgment: yes, I judge not my own self. 4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judges me is the Lord.” What Paul is saying in the text is this, we don’t have to be concerned with the judgments of men but what we do need to be concerned with is the judgment of God.

We often want to be fruit inspectors when our responsibility is to be seed Sowers.

Matt. 13: 40-42 says, “Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so will it beat the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Psalms 96:13 also tells us that, “Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.” Again, in Luke 8:17, “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Romans 2:16,” God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.” Hebrews 4:13, “Nothing in all of creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.”

Final verse, Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

We may choose to shake our fist in God’s face today and say, who are you to tell me what’s right or what’s wrong, but friends we all have to be reminded of this truth and that God is the Authority and that is all that will be all that matters come judgment day!
