The Harvest is Near
Harvesting season is among us and another season coming to an end. Do we often look back and wish we had gotten more things accomplished. Does this not also apply for us spiritually? Our spiritual season is a window of opportunity which eventually ends.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.” When Solomon realized that this life was vanity was when he recognized the brevity of this life and how short that life is and that God has given everything a season. God has set all things into order and is in control.
Whatever season of our lives that we are in, we need to know that God is with us. If we’re striving to do his will, he will be with us always even unto death. I think we have to understand which season of our lives that we are in. Some people grow old gracefully and some never get that opportunity.
If you were to examine your current situation or season in life right now, what would you say? Has harvest season come upon you and spiritual things in your life not gotten done? Would you use excuses that you’re in a busy season, heavily involved in your job, heavily involved in raising your children trying to support them in the things their involved in, school grinding away, racing against the clock every moment of everyday. You might have even been in the spiritual warfare season, test and trails at nearly every season.
In conclusion, let us all be ready for that spiritual harvest, having our spiritual provisions laid up for the coming of the Lord’s return. If I can help you in any way, I’m here to help you be ready.
