Back to School with the Lord on your Side

As many begin another school year, I wanted to give some advice in seeking God’s word to make it a success.

We as parents and grandparents need to help our children adjust to new beginnings, new teachers, new classes, new school.

Instill in your children to be strong and seek COURAGE from the Lord. In Deuteronomy 31:6 it tells us to “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” The Lord will always be there for them.

Explain to your child the importance of developing a GOOD CHARACTER. In I Tim 3:2 he encourages us to be temperate, self-controlled and respectable.

Teach your child to be bold and build COFIDENCE in themselves as we have confidence in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 3:12 says,In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”

Help your child FACE THEIR FEARS as we know they will come. We can find comfort from the Psalmist in Psalm 56:3-4 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”

Let us all pray for our children, and all in the school system, that it will be a year that God can be included in and be a success for all.
