Not Guilty
Here is an excerpt from a news report I saw recently on the Internet:
ABOTHELL, Wash. - A lesbian Methodist pastor was acquitted Saturday in a church trial over her sexual orientation, and will be allowed to continue her ministry.
After about 10 hours of deliberations, a jury of 13 pastors ruled in favor of the Rev. Karen Dammann, 47, who disclosed three years ago that she was in a homosexual relationship. Eleven pastors found her not guilty and two were undecided.
Is there any wonder that the moral conduct of so many people in are country has gone to pots, when we have religions promoting such ungodly, wicked behavior? The article went on to say, The jury said it made its decision "after many hours of painful and prayerful deliberations, and listening for and to the word of God ". Somehow they didn't listen too closely to the word of God. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. Rom.1:26-27. And they didn't listen too closely to these verses either, Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1 Tim.2:11-12. For they wouldn't have a woman preacher. And they didn't listen to this passage, A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; I Tim.3:2. Bishops and pastors refer to same office or function, Acts 20:18&28. And pastors or bishops are to be the husband of one wife. How could this woman be the husband of one wife? I guess when you compromise one item in the word of God, it becomes more and more easier to compromise a flood of errors! This jury may have found her not guilty, but God will hold all them accountable for such wicked nonsense!
