Gay Friendly

I was listening to the radio station in Louisville, and they reported about some of the college professors at U of L placing a pink triangle on their doors of their rooms to symbolize that that class is "Gay Friendly." We should be "friendly" to gays, just like we are "friendly" to liars, drunkards, murderers, adulterers, profane, etc.. What do we mean by being "friendly," not that we endorse, condone, approve, sanction their sins and wicked lifestyles, but that we desire to be like Jesus. Matt.11:19, "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children." Jesus was indeed a friend of publicans, folks who were notorious for stealing and cheating people out of their money. Now Jesus did not endorse, condone, approve, sanction the sin(s) of the publicans, but he was a friend to them! I guess you could say he was "Publican Friendly" as he sought to help them out of their sin. "Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them." Luke 15:1-2. Thinks about he treated the adulteress woman there in John 8. "Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. . . . Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." Go and sin no more. He acknowledged her sin, but commanded her to sin no more. He was very friendly to this woman. So let us be "Gay and Adulteress Friendly."
