All The Bible Has To Say About Christmas

For a few moments we want to discuss the topic of Christmas. Let us begin by listing in the box below all the verses that talk about Christmas in the Bible, God's holy and Divine word:

This is is the totality of what the Bible says about Christmas, NOTHING!  If you wish to learn about the holiday, you must consult Roman Catholic and Pagan history to see how it developed. "Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain." Gal.4:10-11. Jesus is NOT the reason for the season.   I am not a Roman Catholic, nor a Pagan, therefore I do not observe Christmas as a religious holy day! I f we are to respect God's word and his authority, we will seek to do all in the name or authority of Christ. "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Col.3:17.  Now we may ignore the need for authority, but we will end up like those that Jesus spoke about in Matt.7:21-23, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."  Iniquity is lawlessness, i.e. doing things without divine authority. Doing things that are unauthorized.  Doing things without a book, chapter and verse to back it up.  We must ever ask, what does God want me to do?  What is his will in any given task?  We have no doubt that Jesus was born into this world, but where do we get the authority to have a special religious celebration of his birth on December 25th?  No where, for none can be found.  Therefore we shall leave this unscriptural activity, both collectively and individually.
