God is so Good!!
Have you ever just sat and pondered on how good God has been to you? Psalms100:5 tells us, For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
God’s goodness resided yesterday, today and will be there forever.
God's character is an inheritance of good. Goodness started in the beginning with God. We see creation reflects God's goodness. We can see and feel his goodness by enjoying His beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We see the beautiful flowers and the green pastures. We smell the fresh air and smell of the spring rain. These all come from the goodness of God.
How can we experience God's goodness? First, we must trust in God's goodness. Psalm 34:8 says Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Psalm 23:6 tells us his goodness and love will follow us all the days of our life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Nahum 1:7 reminds us that even in troubled times, “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him."
We can see God's goodness in His action? We see it through His provision and sustenance. Psalms 23:1 tells us, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psalm 55:22“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Isaiah 41:10 gives us these comforting words. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and
help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
