De-Evolve

I heard an interesting thing the other day on the radio, as they were talking about the Manatees. Now the Manatees are mammals that live down in South Florida, (as well in the Amazon, and in West Africa) they are called "sea cows." The claim was made that these animals were land animals that have moved to live primarily in the water, and thus they have "De-Evolved." May we make a few observations.

Have you ever noticed that we have been swamped with constant references to the theory of evolution in things round about us? Now we have to listen to another theory called "De-Evolution", which is evolution in reverse. I wonder, if the Manatees are de-evolving; why are not the rest of the species in the world? Maybe mankind has reached his limit, and we are de-evolving also. Maybe the world will go back to the lifeless slime pit it once was, before life spontaneously sprung to life and evolved to what it is today (as we are told by the pseudo-scientists who tell us how we got here). I’m reminded of what Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:20 "O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen". Now beloved, I know it takes faith to believe in creation, but it takes a lot more faith to believe in the general theory of evolution, and now we are told to believe in "de-evolution." No, I think I’ll just keep my faith in the creation account, Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." I was thinking that if humans de-evolved enough from their high and mighty attitude, (This is what happen to the Gentiles, as Paul said in Rms. 1:21-22 "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools."), maybe, just maybe, when he gets off his high-horse, he will get back to recognizing God.
