Afraid of Falling

We were talking with a brother one night after services, and we were discussing what is going to happen when Jesus comes again. The passage we were talking about was 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." We were talking about how the Lord will cause us to be lifted up into the air, to meet him in the clouds. Will we be lifted up like a helium balloon as it just floats up into the air, sort of a antigravity thing? Will angels come and take us by the arms and carry us up into the air? Will their be some other means of transport that the Lord will use? Now this raised a question in our brother's mind, what if you are scared of heights and are afraid of falling (I don’t mind being up high as long as I’m safe, and there is no real danger of falling.)? It would appear to me that the Lord no doubt will take care of any problem that may arise at that time. I’m fully confident that the Lord who has the power to save us from sin, surely he would have no problem in take us up from this world to that better home on high. If we might borrow a phrase from Acts 26:8 and rephrase it just a bit, ("Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?") "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise us up to meet him in the air?" God who made the world, creating it, speaking it into existence can surely cause us to meet him up in the clouds, without us falling, or of us being afraid of falling.
